Let me tell you Leabout Bruce and Barbara,
We found out about September that we were moving to Maryland from Alaska in January. My husband is in the Air Force so we went through a referral program and got a realtor then we traveled to Maryland in October to look at the area and do some house hunting. Back in Alaska we would look up houses on the internet and forward our findings to our realtor. Never heard back from him.
So, being frustrated and panicking, I contacted Barbara thru e-mail a week before we were getting to Maryland. I believe that we had only talked twice over the phone and the rest was through e-mail. My husband Fred and I wanted to look at as many houses as possible in one day and hoped that we would put an offer on one the next day. We had been traveling since December 9th and were ready to get in a house.
The first time we met Bruce and Barb was at the first house we were to look at. The day before Barb e-mailed me about 8 of the 10 houses we wanted to see, the other two were unavailable. Upon meeting, Barb handed me a folder that was neatly organized with all the houses´ information in the order in which we were looking at each house. Anything we needed to know about the homes was in the papers she gave us. She also included a detailed map to each home in case we got separated during the drive. Talk about organized!! On the tours of each home, our son Anthony was with us and my in laws and 2 friends of theirs decided to tag along! You know how that can be looking at homes and having family give you their input and trying to make a decision in one day! Talk about pressure. Well Barb and Bruce we very professional, attended to our needs, and did not let anything or anyone distract them from concentrating on Fred and I. Oh, I forgot to mention, I noticed Bruce was feeling under the weather during our house hunting and he still spent the whole day, literally, with us.
We did put an offer on a house the next day and from there everything went just as smooth as our first meeting. When they set a closing date, it did not change. There were many issues with the sellers and their realtor that got really bad about a week before closing. One main issue, they were not able to get their belongings out until the day after closing and Barb made sure we were compensated for that inconvenience. All of the others issues were handled professionally by Barb and Bruce. Before closing they made sure we got a credit for first time Maryland home buyers. They gave us all the local information for utilities and school for our son. They even came over to check on us and the condition of the house after we started to move in.
I will refer Bruce and Barb many more times and I will definitely use them again. To be given only week´s noticed that we needed their services, they were professional, organized, efficient, very friendly and just awesome!!
